This past week has been somewhat stressful. Work has been dramatic, school, more so. I'm teetering on the edge of dropping out. Well, dropping my co-op placement, at the very least.
In KNITTING NEWS! Not much...
I finished ONE measly dishcloth. I have a couple more on the needles, and they're making a little progress.
Still chugging along on the baby blankets. I haven't been working on the pink and white one very much. It's very warm, and so is the weather... Both together make for uncomfortable knitting. I did have to un-knit about 2 inches of the Ruffles blanket... I dropped a stitch, or did an unintentional m1 or SOMETHING and I had a big wonky bit.
My mom also informed me my cousin is pregnant with a baby girl... She wants me to knit her a baby blanket. This cousin is not blood related, but she's young (20, I think) and my mom bought the yarn. It's called Bernat Baby Blanket. It's super soft, and I'm assuming a JUMBO size of some of their regular yarn... Each skein is enough for a 29x29 blanket. I got 4: 2 girl colours, and 2 boy colours. Then, on the off chance she has a boy, I'm covered. Plus, I will have enough in case my mom's family decides to add more to the clan.
Put it this way: up until 5 years ago, my brother was the youngest of the grand children, and there were 2 younger great-grand children. There are now 3 more grand children, 4 great grand children and 2 more greats on the way. Nine babies in the span of about 5 years.
I think it's bed time. I will be posting pictures of all my baby blankets in progress in the next little bit. I HAVE MY CAMERA, but it eats batteries.

Works In Progress
At the moment, I'm making a Ruffles Blanket out of an awesome worsted weight yarn, that reminds me of fire. It's alot of fun, 7 rows on a large needle, 7 on a small. I can really see the progress this way!
I still have one Ribbon cloth on the needles. That one is taking me forever, mostly because it's my TV knitting, and I havn't been watching much lately.
I'm going to start more Knifty Knitter hats and make those as fast as I can. I'm trying to stir up some competition over at Homespun Helpers.

Charity Knitting
Over at Homespun Helpers, there is a Personal Achievement contest going on from now until Labour Day Weekend.
I'm going to be making a ton of these cute hats on my Knifty Knitters from now till then. I have a load of scrap yarns that will be perfect for these!
The red and orange-y one here was made on the second smallest loom (I think the red one) and the rest were made on the blue one.
These have all been made since... Thursday, except the first three.
Red and orange-y made of an unknown bulky weight, blue made from Bernat Baby Clouds, green made from Lion Homespun.
The pastel rainbow is one of my favourite yarns. I have about 3/4 of the skein left. I wish I kept the label. White and rainbow is made of Red Heart sport weight something or other (the colorway is called "crayon", I think) and white. The bottom one is actually a very pale blue at the brim, to a very pale purple at the top. These are awesome. No idea what brand, but it's all the same.
The left is a very pale pink, and the right is purple. Both double stranded with white, and they both have a slight sparkle to them.
Some fuzzy rainbow variegated with white.
The left is mostly white with pink, purple and blue flecks. The right is double stranded blue and green.

Once again, a ton of ends to weave in. I'm going to wait till just before I donate them, and do them all at once.
